Two primary school principals retire

The Education Department bid farewell to Rodney Kok, principal of Ashley Primary School, and Logan Govender, principal of Motala Heights Primary School, who are retiring from service.

PRINCIPALS from the Kwasanti Circuit bade farewell to two colleagues at a cocktail function at Hillcrest High School recently.

Mr Rodney Kok, principal of Ashley Primary School, and Mr Logan Govender, principal of Motala Heights Primary School, are both retiring from service.

Kogie Naidoo, deputy principal of Ashley Primary School and Radha Pillay, deputy principal of Motala Heights Primary School, will replace these men as acting principals.

Circuit manager, Nkanyiso Shezi, expressed his appreciation to Kok and Govender for their many years of service and dedication to education in KwaZulu-Natal.

Shezi added that the efforts of these two men impacted not only on the lives of current pupils but on those who would pass through secondary and tertiary institutions and would settle in other parts of the country or even abroad.

In return, both Kok and Govender thanked Shezi for his constant, unwavering support as circuit manager.
