Four injured in truck collision

Netcare 911 paramedics rushed to attend to four women who were injured in Pinetown yesterday afternoon.

FOUR women were injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck along Newton Road in Pinetown at 5pm on Wednesday, 10 September.

According to Chris Botha, media spokesman for Netcare 911, paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the car with four occupants had slammed into the side of an eight ton truck.

Two of the women were seriously injured. “After the injured were stabilised at the scene they were transported to various hospitals,” said Botha.

Exact details about the cause of the accident was not established and the local SAPS were at the scene and will be investigating.
