Lions Club crowns Mr and Miss Highway

Cowies Hills Lions will use some of the funds raised from the pageant to upgrade the Grace cottage at Ethelbert Children's Home.

COWIES Hill Lions Club held a fun, entertaining and successful fundraiser, the Mr / Miss Highway Pageant Gala Dinner at the Pinetown Civic Centre on Saturday 23 August.

The boys and girls were aged from three to six years and seven to nine years. They thoroughly enjoyed the event and made new friends. Various prizes for Mr/Miss Hair, eyes, personality and photographic were awarded.

The Cowies Hill Lions Club thanked all the contestants, family and friends for their support and generous sponsorships. The funds will be used for the various projects that the Lions are involved with, one of them being the upgrading of Grace cottage at the Ethelbert Children’s Home.
