Four arrested in second highway drug bust

Four men were arrested in the recent drug bust in Crestholme.

FOUR men have been arrested for allegedly manufacturing drugs in a house in River View Road, Crestholme. The house was raided by police and the Hawks on Thursday afternoon.

According to KZN police spokesman, Col Jay Naicker, detectives were investigating the recent drug bust in Kloof.

“Detectives found drug manufacturing equipment as well as chemicals on the premises.

“Four men aged between 30 and 49 years old were arrested, they were detained for the manufacturing of narcotics,” said Naicker.

He added that the latest arrests are a result of the ongoing investigation since the discovery of drugs and manufacturing plant in Kloof.

“At this stage detectives are still processing the crime scene and gathering exhibits. Three of the men are from KwaZulu-Natal and one is from Cape Town,” he said.

The accused appeared in court today.
