Laura expands her knowledge

WATERFALL College’s SPAR Star of the Month is Laura Luciana.

The Grade 10 pupil has been first in her grade since she started at the school as a Grade 8 pupil. Her favourite subject is physics as she enjoys working with the formulas and the chemistry involved.

Her aggregate for the second term was 87 per cent and her overall aggregate for last year was also 87 per cent.

“When there are exams I start studying a week before and for the cycle tests, which we have every Monday morning, I study the weekend before. What makes things a little easier for me is being able to remember information easily,” said Laura.

When she is not studying, she enjoys playing a 6-string guitar and her favourite song to play is Blink 182’s All the Small Things. She said art, which is not one of her subjects at school, is also one of her many passions.

When she gets a gap, Laura said she enjoys going out to watch movies and hanging out with her friends.

“I’m not too sure yet what I would like to do once I finish high school, but I am considering going into the accounting field,” said Laura.
