COMMUTERS will be experiencing some relief as the petrol price is set to decrease by 15 cents per litre on Election Day, Wednesday 7 May.

The decrease was precipitated by the strengthening of the South African rand from R10.55 to R10.77 against the US dollar in April.

According to the department of energy, diesel is set to decrease by 29.78 cents, illuminating paraffin by 25 cents, and LP Gas by four cents per litre.
