Smiles and fun at country market

The market is held on the first Sunday of the month at the Hillcrest Primary School.

DELICIOUS treats and various interesting items were once again on sale at the Hillcrest Country Market on Sunday 6 April.

A kiddies corner with a jumping castle and other fun activities kept the children busy while mom and dad browsed the various stalls.

Coordinators, Tracy and Frank Lyle, have initiated a new feature called the Invited Guest Stall. “It basically includes organisations or crafters that we feel have interesting items and who need some exposure. We invite them to exhibit their items at the market at a free stall. This month we selected the Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust,” said Tracy.

The Lyle’s market has also adopted the Animal Anti-Cruelty League, Durban, and the NPO has been given a free stall for every month.

This month’s market also hosted a Best Presented Stall competition, and Susan Lichter of Soft Hearted was selected as the winner.

The market is held on the first Sunday of the month at the Hillcrest Primary School. The next market will be held on Sunday 4 May.
