Cyclists and runners gear up for Husqvarna Classic

AVID mountain bikers and trail runners are gearing up for the Husqvarna Classic Mid-Illovo MTB Challenge & Trail Run happening on 18 May.

This event offers something for everyone – from super fit mountain bikers and trail runners to friends and family who come along for the ride.

The 40km MTB Challenge boasts “the best single track of any single day event”. Starting from the Mid-Illovo Club, it traverses two of KwaZulu-Natal’s most picturesque game reserves – the Gwahumbe Game & Spa and iNsingizi Game & Spa.

For less experienced riders and family and friends, there is also the 18km Gwahumbe Family Experience and the 10km i-Cycle Insurance Fun Ride.

For those more keen to run than cycle, there is the rough and ready terrain of the 8km and 18km iNsingizi trail runs to tackle.

Entries close Wednesday, 15 May at midnight but late entries will be accepted on the day.
