Students get artsy for CANSA

Staff and students brightened Varsity College Westville Campus with their colourful hair designs at a CANSA Shavathon.

VARSITY College Westville Campus held a CANSA Shavathon in Meridian Hour on Thursday.

Numerous staff and students volunteered to make a donation to support the fight against cancer. Volunteers were given two options, they could shave their heads or decorate their hair with colourful gel or hair spray. “The drive was hosted to not only raise funds, but also to raise awareness,” said Leigh Dixon, the student relations coordinator at the Westville Campus.

A total of R2 300 was raised for this worthy cause. Dixon also reported that some of the students volunteered to work at the National Shavathon at the Westville Mall on Saturday 1 March.
