A 44-YEAR-OLD man was shot at his home in Maple Crescent in Wyebank earlier today.

According to Chris Botha, media spokesman for Netcare 911, paramedics arrived at the man’s home and found the seriously injured man sitting in his vehicle. “After he was stabilised at the scene they transported him to a hospital in the area,” said Botha.

Captain Thulani Zwane, media spokesman for KZN SAPS, said a case of attempted murder had been opened for investigation by Pinetown SAPS. “Two unknown men fired shots at him and fled in their getaway vehicle. The motive for the shooting is still unknown at this stage,” said Zwane.

He noted that no arrests have been made and the investigation is currently underway.
