The Glitter Girls bring back the laughs

The Glitter Girls return for another hysterical run.

Back by popular demand, The Glitter Girls will be returning to the Heritage Theatre from the 11 to the 30 March.

Lisa Bobbert, Liesl Coppin and Marion Loudon, three of Durban’s most loved and versatile performers and previous recipients of the coveted Mercury Durban Theatre Personality of the Year Award, have joined forces once again to keep the audience in stitches.

The Glitter Girls is a light hearted and highly entertaining musical comedy that hinges around a school reunion -25 years later, Skolliesville High matric class of 1989 is finally having their 20 year reunion (on account of Tina Davis nee Davies having misplaced her varsity years 1990-1994). With songs from the 80s right up to today and hits from Bananarama, Eurythmics, Rihanna, Gloria Estephan and Abba.

The highlight of the show is when the girls gender-bend into their alter-egos – Kenny de la Mer, Ruben Lipshitz and John Smith. These “dudes” are underscored by the unmistakable backbeat of Duran Duran, Rick Ashley, Bruno Mars and Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines to name but a few.

Tickets for the show are R120 per person from Wednesday to Saturday and R 100 Tuesday and Sunday (lunch time). Various new meal options are now available.

Bookings can be made on 031 7654197 or online at https://www.heritagetheatre.co.za.
