Golfers swing away at fundraiser

Careways, a local NPO which provides care for intelectually impaired adults, hosted a successful golf day recently.

CAREWAYS hosted a golf day at the Kloof Country Club last Friday in an effort to raise funds for its three centres in the Durban area.

More than 50 avid golfers took to the golf course in the NPOs secod fundraiser for the year.

Careways aims to better the life of intellectually impaired adults, by providing them with life long care in its residential facilities and provide them with day care centres which offer them a variety of activities. It started as a project by the Kloof Methodist Church and has since blossomed into a full on workshop and expanded with the Siyanakekela Centre.

“I want to extend a huge thank you to everybody involved for the great support we received this year and are looking forward to growing those relationships in the years to come,” said Gaynor King.
