THOMAS More College Outreach donated R100 000 to build a Youth Centre at Philangethemba Trust in Lower Molweni.
The Trust serves three schools – Bazamille Primary, Lamula Primary and Tholulwazi Secondary. This Youth Centre comprising of a classroom, toilets, offices and a storeroom will enable the Youth Development Co-ordinator and Interns to teach Life Orientation and other skills to the learners at the three schools.
Last year Thomas More Outreach donated R50 000 to buy computers to teach literacy to the schools.
The money for these developments is raised by the Thomas More community at the annual Sponsored Walk. This walk raises enough money for all the Outreach projects at Thomas More as well as the Capital projects.
