Speaking to the Highway Mail, Fulton principal Odette Swift said this was a great opportunity for the schools to share their resources with the aim to lift each other up.

“With so many challenges surrounding us, the least we could do is to come up with solutions to see the way forward. Learners and teachers are challenged, which could affect the teaching and learning process, so when we take steps to identify these challenges with the aim of solving them, a lot can be achieved.”

Gillitts Primary principal Arti Jadoo echoed Swift’s words, saying they are grateful to have made this day possible and that their learners were granted an opportunity to learn about hearing and how to take care of their ears.

“Our learners had an opportunity, not only to learn about this day but to identify any challenges that could hinder their learning process. We are grateful to Fulton for this great opportunity,” she said.

The screening took place from 8:00 to 10:00. The day was also attended by officials of the Department of Education who commended the effort.
