Gateway Christmas lights ignite the festive spirit

The lights are placed strategically in different parts of the mall, for the public to enjoy and take photos.

GATEWAY Theatre of Shopping has joined in the festive season spirit with its array of Christmas lights placed strategically in different parts of the shopping mall.

Joining the number of places who have put up Christmas lights to boost the holiday spirit, Gateway has taken it a step further and ignited the spirit of giving with its Santa Shoebox Project, which aims to bring joy to underprivileged children until the end of November.

Gateway Marketing Manager  Michelle Shelley says sharing the festive spirit is something that is close to their hearts.

“Helping to bring joy and hope to children who need it the most, we are once again a proud venue sponsor for the Santa Shoebox Project. It’s super-convenient for visitors to drop their boxes off at the collection zones during November.

“The project is in its seventeenth year and the NGO has identified eight items that should be included in each box. These are: a toothbrush, toothpaste, an outfit of clothing, a facecloth, soap, school supplies, a toy and sweets. All items should be new and age-appropriate,” said Shelley.

Shelley says the main collection drive is being hosted until the end of November when a mass collection point for packed, personalised boxes will be accessible at Gateway on Palm Boulevard, near Tashas and the Valet Parking on Palm Boulevard between 8 am and 5 pm each day.
