Passenger killed in a drive-by shooting in Pinetown

A case of murder is being investigated at the Pinetown SAPS after a man was killed in a drive-by shooting.

A PASSENGER was fatally shot and two were injured in a drive-by shooting on Wednesday afternoon in Pinetown. 

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Lieutenant Nqobile Gwala said it was alleged that the victims were seated in a stationary vehicle when two men in a passing vehicle fired gunshots at them.

“Charges of murder and attempted murder were opened at the Pinetown police station. The motive for the attack is unknown,” she said.

Marshall Security’s Andreas Mathios reported about the incident, saying there were reports from neighbourhood watch networks about gunshot sounds.
