The Valley Trust will hold a fundraising event in October

A well-known author will be speaking at the Valley Trust Business Breakfast in October. Don’t miss out on an inspirational morning with Bhekisisa Mncube.

AUTHOR, journalist and satirist Bhekisisa Mncube is set to speak at The Valley Trust Business Breakfast in October.

The business breakfast is due to be held at Fig Tree Farm, Hillcrest on Friday, October 21 at 08:00.

Mncube is an award-winning columnist, journalist, satirist and author of three books. The writer will be speaking on South Africa at a Crossroads with Potholes. Mncube sets his sight on the malaise that bedevils our republic and confronts those responsible for the political decay.

The author has penned the best-selling memoir The Love Diary of a Zulu Boy and recently launched his profoundly personal reflection, The Rhamaphosa Chronicles, to critical acclaim. He uses letter writing to conduct an open-ended dialogue with the president.

The breakfast raises funds for The Valley Trust, which was established by Dr Halley H Stott in 1953. It is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) and public benefit organisation (PBO) working to improve the well-being of rural communities in the Valley of 1000 Hills.

Their mission, as stated on social media, is ‘to use health and other means to improve the overall well-being of the communities of the Valley, while continuing to be an example of sustainable and holistic community development’.
