According to Curro, the ITF Junior 1 tournament is the Gold Standard competition in junior and professional tennis for players around the world. It’s 2022’s biggest junior international tennis tournament series in Africa, and this calibre of tennis has not been showcased in Durban ever.

“Kaitlyn also received a wild card for the Junior 2 ITF tournament last week where she won against the eighth-seeded Sage Loudon from the United States of America in the first round but lost against SA’s Erin McKenzie in the second round. The Junior 1 wild card was awarded to Kaitlyn as a reward for her performance during last week’s Junior 2 event,” stated the school.

The ongoing tournament is broadcast on national TV broadcasters.
