Bright Eyes Foundation, a non-profit organisation that provides care, education, and support for visually impaired children and their caregivers in Durban, is hosting its first Christmas in July event at the end of the month.

The event takes place on July 29 at 10 Stiebel Place from 16:00.

“The funds raised will go directly towards running our various projects. We run seven programmes between two staff and a team of volunteers,” said Cathryn Aylett, project co-ordinator of the foundation.

The seven programmes are Bright Eyes ECD, Bheka Eye Screenings, Munchies Kitchen, Matriach, Paediatric Support, Abagility Maths Club and Independent Beauty.

“Although we are based in Musgrave, we chose Durban North as a venue due to the growth of our donor and support base,” she added. Bright Eyes volunteers comprise a group of women who have an immense passion for what the organisation does.

The event is an opportunity, not only to fundraise for Bright Eyes but for supporters and donors to meet the team and see the amazing work they do.

Tickets cost R250 each or R2 500 for a table of ten. The ticket includes a delicious Christmas-themed dinner.

Limited tickets are being sold to allow for space and comfort.

To book, call 078 059 3870 or email info@brighteyes.co.za. There will also be lucky draw prizes on the night.
