3 men to appear in court for Malvern elderly man’s murder

Ken Price was reported missing last year, December, and his body was found at a mortuary in Richard's Bay in May. 

THREE men, who were arrested for the murder of Malvern elderly resident Ken Price, are expected to appear at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Tuesday, June 7.

The trio will appear again for bail application after they were denied bail last week, Thursday.

Price resided alone in Oliver Leese Road in Malvern, and his body was recovered at a mortuary in Richard’s Bay after he was reported missing last year, December.

On May 12, police received information that a neighbour was advertising motorbikes belonging to Price for sale.

Police proceeded to the neighbour’s house, searched the premises and found items belonging to the victim.

“The neighbour led the police to Savannah Park and Chatsworth where two other suspects were arrested. They were also found in possession of the victim’s belongings.

“They claimed to not know the whereabouts of the victim when they were questioned. The suspects, aged 22 and 31, were arrested and charged for possession of stolen property,” reported Gwala.
