TVT’s Pippa Whittle said the pressing need for charities to create sustainable ways to maintain valuable services to communities in need has never been more evident.

“Our projects provide health services, food security, child education, youth skills development and other services to the Valley of 1000 Hills and surrounding areas. We are reaching out to the community and business sector for donations of good condition clothing, kitchenware, linen, bric-a-brac, crockery, books, toys , furniture and other items,” she said.

TVT is a non-profit organisation established in Botha’s Hill in 1953. The vision of the organisation is that the rural communities of the Valley of 1000 Hills live full and vibrant lives in a democratic South Africa. “Our projects assist in building the capacity of individuals and households to take charge of their own health and improve their quality of life,” said Whittle.

Contact Pippa on 081 413 3996 to arrange collection or you can drop off at Khethokhule Charity Shop, The Valley Trust, Zulu Reserve (Manqoba) Road, Botha’s Hill . The shop is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and on the first and third Saturday of the month from 09:00 to 14:00.
