Easter rugby festival round up

Despite the weather, the event drew a large crowd of rugby fans who were excited to see schoolboys in action again after a two-year Covid-imposed hiatus.

AT the end of a successful 2022 Standard Bank Kearsney Easter Rugby Festival, two teams remained unbeaten after three days of play in severe rain and thick mud.

Krugersdorp’s Hoërskool Monument and Gqeberha’s Hoërskool Framesby (Port Elizabeth) both returned home unblemished. Monument defeated Westville Boys’ High School, Cradock’s Hoer Landbouskool Marlow, and Durban High School. Framesby defeated Hoërskool Dr E.G. Jansen, drew with Pretoria Boys High, and won the festival final against Kearsney College.
