Residents #TakeBackWestville

The community got together to clear up the Westville Post Office, which has been an area of concern for some time.

UNDER the banner of #TakeBackWestville, the community including Keep Westville Beautiful, Tandi Landscapes, Lady bird Landscapes, Metro Police and lots of volunteers got together to clear up the Westville Post Office.

The post office vicinity has been an area of concern for some time with homeless people living inside and around it.

With suspicions of drug dealings, resident, and Keep Westville Beautiful member, PJ Storm said the community has been concerned for the safety of the children at the three schools surrounding the post office.

 

 

“Residents are now fed up and are taking back their suburb area by area. We were overwhelmed by the sense of community and we are very proud to be part a wonderful caring community,” she said.

She added that they were looking forward to three more clean-ups in the Westville area which will be held every Saturday this month.
