Missing Marriannhill man found dead

The deceased man was positively identified by his family at the Pinetown mortuary.

A MARIANNHILL family, who recently appealed to the public for assistance to locate the 64-year-old Richard Nkwanyana, have positively identified his body at the Pinetown mortuary.

Nkwanyana went missing on Sunday, January 2 from Damat in Mariannhill.

According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Thembeka Mbele, Nkwanyana was identified at the Pinetown mortuary by his family members on January 14, after he was found dead in Damat.

A case of inquest was opened at Pinetown SAPS to investigate the man’s death.
