Westville company and CROW run wild with 2022 calendar debut

Compass Cares, the corporate social investment branch of Westville-based, Compass Medical Waste Services, has raised more than R3m for animal welfare through its calendar campaign.

THE Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) and Compass Cares launched the eagerly
anticipated annual calendars to sponsors, beneficiaries and supporters on Wednesday, October 13.

This year, they partnered with the talented South African photographer Kierran Allen, who graciously
donated wildlife photos to be used in the calendar.

Allen’s impressive photography of the Great Migration in the Masai Mara inspired the 2022 calendar’s theme, Running Wild. The calendar features a collection of beautiful wildlife photography and includes photos of the Big 5 in a bold, contemporary design.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to Ian and Judy du Randt and the Compass team for their contributions over the past 11 years; not only for the Compass Cares Calendar Campaign, but Ian and Judy have also made donations in their personal capacity when we were in need. Today, we presented them with Honorary Certificates of Membership in recognition of their support and valuable contribution,” said CROW’s operations director, Clint Halkett-Siddall.

Compass Cares, the corporate social investment branch of Westville-based, Compass Medical Waste Services, has raised more than R3m for animal welfare through its calendar campaign.

It has supported CROW since 2012 with vehicle sponsorships, new animal enclosures, upgrades to the operation rooms and clinic, and more.

“At Compass, our values of generosity, grace and gratitude is the moral compass that gives us direction as a company. We are dedicated to supporting animal welfare organisations like CROW and feral cat non-profits that go above and beyond to take care of abused, abandoned and vulnerable animals. They unselfishly give of their own time and financial resources and, most importantly, their love, to take care of God’s amazing creatures.” said the managing director of Compass Medical Waste Services, Ian du Randt,
