LEARNERS at Westville Junior Primary School celebrated their first week back by dressing up as their heroes, many of whom chose patrollers and frontline workers as their idols.
“Coming back after a manic three weeks, we are focusing on heroes and that heroes don’t always have to wear capes as they really are normal people who make a difference. From our dads going out to protect us, the police and then the patrollers,” said the school’s acting principal, Sharon Jenkins. “The children are heroes as well, they have come back to school,” she said.

In addition to this, the children brought monetary donations and this money would then be handed to Bobbi Bear. Bobbi Bear is a local non-profit organisation (NPO) that rescues and cares for children who have been sexually abused and help them towards wholeness.
