VIDEO: ‘Zuma supporters’ loot Mariannhill shops
A hardware shop and a grocery store were targeted.
A GROUP of people, claiming to be supporters of the Jacob Zuma protests, which have been wreaking havoc across KZN, looted stores in Mariannhill last night.

The protestors, who are calling for Jacob Zuma to be released from prison, blocked freeways with burning tyres on Friday morning, July 9.
In other areas such as the Mooi River, trucks were burnt.
KwaMamdikazi, an area with shops in the Mariannhill area, turned into a warzone as people stoned shops.

In videos circulating on social media, people can be seen fleeing with building material with others carrying bath tubs.
A grocery store was also looted.
It is not clear at this stage if anyone has been arrested or if any case is opened at this stage.
Highway Mail has reached out to Marrianhill SAPS for comment, however, were unable to get comment at the time of publication.
