eThekwini’s former head of Parks and Recreation to take City to court

Ngcobo was fired last Monday, by the city, for failing to report corrupt activities in his department.

ETHEKWINI Municipality’s former head of Parks and Recreation, Thembinkosi Ngcobo, is planning on taking the City to court soon.

Speaking to the Berea Mail, Ngcobo confirmed he will be challenging the eThekwini Municipality, but the court date has not been issued as yet.

“I will issue a statement as soon as my lawyers are done with the papers explaining the way forward. Yes it is true that I am taking the City to court over its decision to terminate my employment and my lawyers will announce soon,” said Ngcobo.

Ngcobo was fired last Monday, by the city, for failing to report corrupt activities in his department.

Mswakhe Mayisela, spokesperson for the City, said Ngcobo has the right to take action if he is not happy with the outcome.
