WATCH: Armed gunmen caught on camera fleeing Pav mall

The video, which was filmed from one of the stores in the mall, has gone viral.

A VIDEO of the armed robbery that unfolded at the Pavilion Shopping Centre earlier today has emerged on social media.

Several chilling gunshots can be heard booming throughout the mall as the alleged suspects, pulling what appears to be a large bag, comes into view.

The video, which seems to have been filmed from one of the stores, has gone viral on social media.

The creator of the footage could not be tracked down at the time of publication. 

Westville SAPS communications officer, Capt Elizabeth Squires confirmed that a jewellery store within the mall had been robbed by armed suspects earlier today. 

The Highway Mail had reached out to mall management for comment, but had not received a response at the time of publication.
