RESIDENTS have been advised to avoid the Pavilion Shopping Mall after shots were fired during an armed robbery a short while ago.

According to reports, the armed robbers targeted a jewellery store at the mall.

Westville SAPS communications officer, Capt Elizabeth Squires confirmed the incident and said the crime scene is still active.
