Highway caring residents share their treasure

To date, the foundation has received more than 60 000 treasures from the public, businesses and schools which has enabled them to pack and distribute over 1500 Robinhood bags which were bursting with 'treasures' for the gogos and children.

AFTER serving the community for 16 years, the Robin Hood Foundation team have witnessed the truth in the saying ‘one man’s junk is another man’s treasure’.

Over the years, the foundation has been instrumental in distributing hundreds of the thousands of pre-loved clothing and food hampers to residents in Durban and surrounding areas.

ALSO READ: Share your ‘treasure’ with underprivileged In the month of February, The Robin Hood Foundation (RHF) launched their Share your Treasure campaign – a campaign appealing to residents to go through their homes and donate any pre-loved clothing, linen, accessories, shoes and books.

To date, the foundation has received more than 60 000 treasures from the public, businesses and schools which has enabled them to pack and distribute over 1500 Robinhood bags which were bursting with ‘treasures’ for the gogos and children.

The NPO also distributed more than 5000 food hampers and meals to feed families, an incredible help in the communities they served.

“Our storage units were bursting with donations from local individuals and companies all wanting to make a difference.

“Our most heartfelt thanks goes out to every single person who got involved as due to your massive efforts and generosity, we have been able to bless more than 2000 families in need in February alone, and we would love our community’s help to do it again in March,” said Norcott.
