Kloof SPCA highlights importance of pet sterilisation

To create awareness for International Sterilisation Day, the team at the local animal welfare made signs to stress the importance of sterilisation.

TO mark International Sterilisation Day (23 February), the Kloof and Highway SPCA have highlighted the importance of sterilising pets and called on the Highway community to donate towards its outreach projects.

“Sterilisation has many benefits, such as preventing unwanted litters, preventing the spread of STD’s such as TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumors) and associated medical conditions, preventing the roaming of pets and therefore directly preventing cruelty and injury to animals,” said the NPO’s Brigitte Ferguson.
