Hillcrest SAPS closes temporarily after staff member tests positive for Covid-19
The community can call 10111 for all emergencies and complaints.
HILLCREST Police Station has been temporarily closed after one of its members, at the Hillcrest Community Service Centre, tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, (Sunday, 3 January 2021).

Covid-19 cases continue to increase as on Sunday, 3 January it was reported that South Africa has recorded 11 859 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of cases to date to 1 100 748.
Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Capt Linzi Smith said the community service centre will now operate from Molweni Satellite Station which is not far from the police station. To access the station, the community can call 10111 for all emergencies and complaints which will be attended to accordingly.
“The telephone lines at Hillcrest police station’s Community Service Centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. However service delivery will not be hampered,” assured Smith.
She said it was not confirmed when the building will be decontaminated and when services will resume at the station.
“The SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this,” added Smith.
