The event, hosted by B-Active Events, forms part of a new annual trail series of events that will be held at the Durban Shongweni Club or other exciting venues throughout KwaZulu-Natal.

Registration begins at 5.30am until 6.50am at the race start.

The first race (13km) will kick off at 6.30am and the second race (8km) will begin at 6.50am.

The terrain includes rolling hills, small rivers, sugar cane trails and a Jeep track. The prize-giving will take place at 8:45am.

There will be cup-less, self service water tables with 32Gi Endure and water. 32Gi Gels will also be available at each table. Hydration packs are highly recommended.

“The running routes suit both road and trail runners, with the routes not being overly technical or difficult. They were chosen to give runners a challenge, but at the same time have fun while out in the beautiful countryside. Runners are encouraged to dress up into their favourite festive elf or Santa suit, as their will be loads of great prizes for the best-dressed runners after the event,” said the director of B-Active Events, Damian Bradley.

A limited number of 500 runners can enter and entries will close on Friday, 18 December at 12pm.

“Competitors are invited to join the team for a post-race breakfast at the club after the event to share trail stories and enjoy the festive spirit,” said Bradley.
