UPDATE: Missing 15-year-old from Bellair found safe

Aphiwe has been found and is reportedly safe according to Bellair CPF Crime Prevention Youth Desk chair, Alandra Presley.

The Queensburgh News was informed on Friday, 13 November, that Aphiwe Gwebe had been found safe and the missing person report closed.

The original story:  BELLAIR SAPS are investigating the disappearance of 15-year-old Aphiwe (Pretty) Gwebe, who was last seen leaving the Hillary Spar on Tuesday, 10 November at 4pm.

“The father of the young girl advised that she went to her Bellair home in Dalton Avenue, changed into dry clothes and left the house, and has not been seen or heard from since,” said Bellair CPF Crime Prevention Youth Desk chair Alandra Presley.

“It was reported by the dad that Aphiwe doesn’t have a cellphone,” said Presley on Wednesday afternoon who shared the post with the details about the youngster’s disappearance. Presley also shared a voice note where she pleads with people to make use of the social workers who are based at Bellair SAPS for any family or personal problems.

“We are uncertain about the events leading to her disappearance but are really anticipating her safe return,” she told Queensburgh News.
