Armed gang storm Malvern home, shot fired
When they were fleeing the scene, one of the robbers dropped a cellphone.
A MALVERN resident was traumatised after a gang of armed men broke into his home on Tuesday evening.
The man’s neighbour heard a single gunshot and immediately contacted Blue Security’s control centre.
An armed response officer and the area manager were dispatched to the scene.

According to Blue Security’s community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios, an undisclosed number of suspects gained access to the property.
The men fired a shot before they fled the scene.
The suspects dropped a cellphone while fleeing the property.
“Malvern SAPS arrived a short while later, followed by paramedics who attended to assess the medical condition of the victim,” he said.
“Blue Security remained on visibility patrols in the area for the rest of the evening.”
