WATCH: M7 accident severely affects rush-hour traffic

Traffic on the M7, heading towards the Bluff, was disrupted by an accident involving two trucks which required some time to clear up.

ONE person was injured this morning in an accident involving two trucks and two light vehicles on the M7 eastbound. 

According to Garrith Jamieson, paramedic and spokesperson for KwaZulu-Natal Private Ambulance Association (KZNPAA) the patient sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital for further care.

The M7 is still affected by the accident and according to Jamieson, the truck was still waiting to be towed from the scene shortly before 8.30am. 

The accident scene, which is located just after the Wakesleigh traffic lights, affected the left and centre lanes causing traffic delays for people who use this route to access the Bluff, and South Durban from the Pinetown area.

Many services were called to the scene.
