Chic Mamas is an organisation consists of a group of enthusiastic women who believe in the importance of Early Childhood Development (ECD). Last week, their storeroom in Westville was transformed into a glamorous fashion outlet with the feel of an upmarket boutique.
THE Chic Mamas Do Care Durban will continue their charity work at a new stylish Chic Boutique which was launched last week.
During lockdown, the ladies sold quality pre-loved clothing and fashion accessories out of their store room to raise funds for the preschools which they support, as the organisation believes in the importance of Early Childhood Development (ECD).

Chic Mamas team members, Sharon du Preez and Gaye Wright transformed the storeroom into a glamorous fashion outlet with the feel of an upmarket boutique.
Head mama of the Durban team, Jenny Du Bois urged the public to come and support them.
“The rails are filled with top quality new or pre-loved boutique style items appreciated by discerning shoppers. Affordable pricing completes this irresistible shopping experience.
“We are thrilled with our new boutique-style retail outlet. The response has been amazing and we are delighted to be able to offer all our supporters the opportunity to indulge in more frequent Chic shopping and thereby raise funds for our educational upliftment initiatives,” said Du Bois.
The funds generated from the ongoing sales will enable Chic Mamas to support many preschool projects.
“We believe that all children deserve to develop in a safe and stimulating environment,” she said.
The Chic Mamas Do Care fashion outlet can be found at 2 Cedar Road Westville. They are open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 10am to 1pm. Strict Covid-19 protocols are in place.

On the first Saturday of each month, shoppers are invited to participate in a Swap4Charity initiative. Shoppers simply bring four to six top quality women’s clothing items that are in great condition, suitable for spring/summer. In exchange Chic Mamas will issue ‘gratuity tokens’ of a nominal ZAR value to spend at the shop.
