Volunteers revitalise Ashley Village

As the country officially welcomed spring, a season of growth and rebirth, QASA volunteers felt it was the best time to also give the Ashley Village a facelift.

A GROUP of volunteers and supporters spent a day revitalising and revamping the grounds at the Ashley Village in Pinetown.

Ashley Village is a project of the QuadPara Association of KwaZulu-Natal and, before the spring project, was in need of some tender loving care.

“We went to nurseries and asked for donations of plants to be used as well as butcheries for donations of meat for the Heritage Day braai. We wanted to bring everyone together. Spring is about rebirth and renewal and give this village a new life,” said volunteer, Ali Campbell.

Jodie Kroone of the Quadpara Association of South Africa (QASA) thanked SuperSPAR Hillcrest, Pinetown Bluff Meat Supply, The Potting Shed, Phezulu Estate, MICA Durban North, Construction ID and each one of the supporters who helped ensure the day was a success.
