Local lab gives gift of dignity

Staff from the Neuberg Global Laboratories collected more than 1 500 packs of sanitrary pads that will be distributed by local non-profit organisaitons.

IN the spirit of Youth Day on June 16, Neuberg Global Laboratories embarked on a sanitary pad drive for young girls in disadvantaged and underprivileged areas across the country.

The theme for the initiative was Share the Dignity – Leaving no girl behind this Youth Day and the company collected more than 1 500 packs of sanitary pads.

The sanitary pads were donated by its employees. The company will donate 300 of these sanitary pad packs to The Robin Hood Foundation.

“Over the past weeks, the world has experienced extraordinary times as Covid-19 has impacted the global economy and our personal lives. On 26 March, South Africa declared Covid-19 as a national disaster and announced various measures to combat this grave health emergency. Neuberg Global Laboratories has been in the forefront of the pandemic in conducting Covid-19 tests across the country,” said the Neuberg Global Laboratories’ human resources manager, Brian Minenhle Scott.
