A SECURITY guard was shot and killed during an armed robbery in Mariannhill this afternoon.
According to Blue Security’s community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios, various security companies, together with SAPS, responded to an armed robbery.

“Reports had come through that there had been a shooting and that a security guard had been fatally shot,” said Mathios.
An undisclosed amount of cash was also taken at gunpoint.
The police are investigating.
