A GANG of armed men robbed and assaulted an elderly woman in her Seaview home on Monday morning.
Blue Security received the alert of the house robbery at about 9.30am.

Three senior residents were on their verandah when they saw three men enter the property. The armed men gained access to the property by derailing the driveway gate.
“Two of the men produced firearms and ordered the residents indoors at gunpoint,” said Blue Security’s community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios.
“One of the residents, a woman in her late 70s, was assaulted. No shots were fired or serious injuries sustained,” Mathios added.

The robbers searched the home and fled with a flatscreen TV and jewellery.
Rescue Care paramedics attended the scene and crisis counselling was provided to the shocked residents.
