VIDEO, PHOTOS: 2 injured in multi-vehicle accident on Richmond Road, Pinetown
The incident involved three different types of vehicles.
EMERGENCY services responded to a serious accident involving a motorbike, a car and a truck on Richmond Road, in Pinetown, near the Gillitts Road interchange on Wednesday afternoon (29 January).
Both the biker and passenger of the vehicle are in a critical condition, said Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care.
Jamieson said, “The passenger of the vehicle was entrapped in the wreckage.”

“The paramedics worked tirelessly in the heat as the driver of the bike sustained critical injuries, with advanced life support paramedics stabilising the injured rider.”
“The driver of the car has been taken to a nearby hospital for urgent care. The road has been closed as the necessary personnel work to clear the scene,” concluded Jamieson, who also provided the Highway Mail with pictures and a video of the aftermath of the accident.
