Pop in for colourful WOZA Moya art exhibit

Local artist, Sharon Potter will have her vibrant acrylic and oil paintings on exhibit at Woza Moya in Hillcrest.

WOZA Moya’s upstairs gallery will host an exhibition of acrylic and oil paintings by local Highway artist, Sharon Potter, from Thursday, 30 January to Tuesday, 10 March.

Sharon has a love for all things colourful and beautiful and, for her, painting is a never-ending journey and exploration. She particularly enjoys painting in oils, for their rich, vibrant and luscious colours. Her subject matter varies from florals to landscapes, but portraits are a favourite as she always searches to portray the essence of the subject.

The remarkable aspect of Sharon’s work is the diversity found in her work from abstract floral landscapes in clashing vibrant colours to more serious muted landscapes to portraiture.

The exhibit will open at 6pm on 30 January and Young GNS, a local craft Gin distillery, will be in attendance.

Craft gin and beer will be available for purchase at the opening. There will also be live music.

The exhibition will be held at Woza Moya, the economic empowerment project of the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, 26 Old Main Road Hillcrest.
