Westville woman takes up new role at Religions for Peace organisation
Religions for Peace South Africa will be hosting a monthly interfaith gathering in 2020.
WESTVILLE’S Hailey Fudu has been appointed as the new secretary of Religions for Peace South Africa.
Religions for Peace is an international organisation that seeks to bring people of various faith traditions together in a constructive way in order to collaborate for the good of the community.
“The mission of the Religions for Peace coalition is to transform violent conflict, advance human development, promote just and harmonious societies and protect the earth,” said Fudu.

The mom of two is the secretary of the Baha’i Assembly of eThekwini and holds a Master’s Degree specialising in Peace Building.
She is passionate about bringing people together and creating spaces for building mutual respect, friendship and constructive and collaborative action.
Religions for Peace South Africa will be hosting a monthly interfaith gathering in 2020.
The first of these will take place on 19 January from 10am to 2pm at the Vuleka Centre located at 142 Old Main Rd in Botha’s Hill.
“The event will include meditation, yoga, sharing of scripture from various faiths including Baha’i, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim as well as well as words of peace from various spiritually minded organisations. Enjoy an opportunity to learn from the diverse traditions of the community and come together in harmony,” said Fudu.
