Garden 1: 36 Haygarth Road, Kloof (Kevin and Nolene Dunn)
This garden has a dramatic sweep of lawn with a deep, informal border of mixed plantings on the one side and layers of interesting shrubs on the other. There are very old, established trees which together with a canopy of borrowed landscaping, gives the garden a feeling of yesteryear. There is a mixture of exotics and indigenous plants and roses thrive in sunny spots. At the rear of the house, stone walls give rise to a second garden and sweeping lawn. An enclosed vegetable and herb garden are also on this level.

Garden 2: 19 Meadow Land, Kloof (Arnold and Julia Vermaak)
This prestigious SALI Gold award-winning two-acre garden is a fun and quirky space with a stamp of originality. The basic plant palette is based on repetition and unity of species to create a garden of structure with added focal points and places of interest. JPJ Landscapes has been extensively involved in the direction of this garden over the past eight years.

Garden 3: 15 Roosevelt Road, Gillitts (Ollie and Michelle Sinclair)
This garden is in the early stages of creation but its indigenous features draw in the wildlife. Expect to see aloes, grasses, succulents and trees that have replaced exotic hedges and bushes. Although there are still small areas still containing such plants, the owners are slowly turning their space into a natural wheelchair friendly paradise for the family and the wildlife.

Garden 4: 17 Barbet Boulevard, Hillcrest Country Retirement Estate, Hillcrest (Anthony and Barbara Dowds)
The owners of this small garden raised the bank at the rear of their property so they could them plant and create a beautiful space that would not have been possible otherwise.

This garden is five years old and was created on fill. Expect neat sleeper paths that will lead you through a garden with both exotic and indigenous plants. It has an attractive raised rockery dominated by a wild fuchsia tree. The road frontage consists of a raised bed filled with succulents and aloes.

Garden 6: 10 Tunzini Road, Hillcrest (David Terblanche)
This is a repeat garden. A well-established work-in-progress garden that changes by the day. It has a large variety of indigenous and exotic plants, shrubs and colour.
