According to the fund, women, in particular mothers, are the cornerstone of society and as an ode to them, the event aims to pay homage to mothers of all kinds – biological or not.

“As Cardinal Mermillod so aptly said, ‘A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take’.

Amongst many pleasant sweets and treats, mother and daughter duos can expect a scrumptious brunch including KWV sparkling wine on arrival, fantastic goodie bags, luxurious gifts sponsored by B.O.N Natural Oils, exciting shopping stalls, an indulgent spa pamper station as well as decadent desserts courtesy of Chateau Gateaux,” said Sunflower Fund’s Allison Ekstrand

Tickets costs only R320 per person and is limited to 150 guests.

Motivational and dynamic guest speakers include Wendy Richards, newly published author of Her mother’s betrayal and the knowledgeable Faye Blumenfield of the distinguished Satin Candy Bra Boutique.

Preferably young ladies of 16 years and older are recommended to attend.

Funds raised from the event will go toward recruiting blood stem cell donors, giving greater hope of life to patients who are diagnosed with life-threatening blood diseases and who are in need of a blood stem cell transplant from a matching unrelated donor.

For bookings or to showcase your brand to 150 ladies through prize and goodie bag item sponsorship contact Allison Ekstrand on 031 266 1148 and email allison@sunflowerfund.org
