Support a good cause at Woza Moya’s art exhibition fund-raiser

Enjoy an evening out while viewing the talented Marjorie Jones' artwork.

EXPERIENCE the depth of Marjorie Jones’ work at Woza Moya’s art exhibition fund-raiser on Thursday, 26 October from 6pm.

Marjorie is a local Hillcrest artist and her father is the well-known sculptor, Buck Jones. While she currently works mainly in oil paint, she has, over the years, worked in wood, clay and printmaking.

You can see Marjorie’s love for the three dimensional in her paintings as she uses multi-layered and textured surfaces.

Marjorie was also a long-term volunteer at Woza Moya in its ceramics department and assisted one of its groups earn an income by teaching them the craft of ceramics.

The local artist has donated 14 paintings to help Woza Moya get its gallery off the ground as well as help it raise much-needed funds for its development programme. If you do miss the launch, the paintings will be on display until 23 October.
