Take your furry best friend for an ultimate Wag Walk

The next Wag Walk is on Sunday, 25 August at the Westville Country Club Eco Trail.

THE dynamic duo, Jane Steiger and Shaun Weir, combined their love for animals and their neighbourhood to give back with The Wag Walk event.

“The Wag Walk was inspired by the big walk that takes place in Durban but I wanted to shift the focus to raising funds for animals,” said Weir.

Steiger and Weir started The Wag Walk last year and have successfully held three events, one boasting more than seven dogs being homed through adoption organisation, Paw Prints.

“We take in the homeless, the neglected, the abused and the orphaned. We welcome moms with babies, babies without moms that require bottle feeding; and will take in anything from one pup to a litter of 12.

Zoe Botha of Paws Cafe at Salamanca Centre, a supporter of the walk, said they will be hosting and promoting Jocks dog food on the day and will supply free popcorn to the walkers.
