Kloof knitters give beyond 67 minutes

The knitters, who began with just three women, have grown to 21 and they welcome wool donations and, of course, new members.

THE Kloof Library Knitters, in remembrance of Nelson Mandela’s sacrifices to South Africa, made knitted donations to the children and moms at the Kloof Clinic on Thursday, 18 July.

The group knits baby blankets, beanies, jerseys and also collects these items to give to new moms at various hospitals.

“For today’s event we got a generous donation from 67 Blankets, we are also grateful for all members of the community who contribute to this initiative,” said member, Linda Winfield.

The knitters, who began with just three women, have grown to 21 and they welcome wool donations and, of course, new members.

Donations can be dropped of at the Kloof Library or directly to the group when they meet there every Friday at 9am until noon.
